The Lexington Junior League Charity Horse Show Celebrates 85 Years of Excellence July 8-13 at the Rolex Stadium

The Lexington Junior League Charity Horse Show marks its 88th anniversary with a lineup of premier equestrian events. Established in 1937 to support the Junior League's community projects, the horse show has evolved into the world's largest outdoor American Saddlebred show.

The event serves as the prestigious first leg of the Saddlebred Triple Crown, attracting over 1,000 renowned competitors from the US and Canada. The show has raised over four million dollars for charitable and civic organizations in Central Kentucky and generated over 5 million dollars in revenue for local merchants each summer. The impact of the Lexington Junior League Charity Horse Show extends beyond the equestrian community, significantly contributing to the local economy.

"I am thrilled to witness this prestigious event's continued impact and success. Our commitment to supporting the local community and promoting equestrian excellence remains unwavering. We are excited to welcome participants and spectators for our 85th anniversary as we celebrate this iconic show's rich heritage and tradition,” said Libby Langlois, Publicity Chair of the Junior League Charity Horse Show.

In addition to the equestrian showcases, the American Saddlebred Horse and Breeders Association (ASHBA) will host two youth events at the Horse Show for exhibitors 21 and under. On Wednesday, July 10th, at 11 a.m., attendees can indulge in sweet treats from Bella’s ice cream truck.

Thursday, July 11th, following the morning session, ASHBA youth can participate in a Trivia and Tea Party. Youth participants will receive a free lunch and test their Saddlebred Trivia skills. Top teams will receive Freedman’s and Chick-fil-A gift cards.
